End Piracy, Not Liberty

This is not a political blog.

This is blog about ATV’s, ATV Riding and Outdoors but the American Government is in the process of creating laws that would make sharing content about ATV’s, a possible crime and they could shut this site down. These laws have the ability to shutdown this site for alleged copyright violations and or links to copyrighted material therefore today’s post is about SOPA/PIPA.

SOPA/PIPA

Two bills before Congress, known as the Protect IP Act (PIPA) in the Senate and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House, would censor the Web and impose harmful regulations on American business. Millions of Internet users and entrepreneurs already oppose SOPA and PIPA.

These bills would censor the web. The U.S. Government could order the blocking of sites using the methods similar to those employed by China.  Among other things, search engines could be forced to delete entire websites from their search results.  Websites with links to other websites that may be using copyrighted material could be blacklisted.

These laws will not protect copyright owners or stop piracy but it will severely impact small businesses like this website.

Please let your representation in Washington D.C. know this law sucks.
