I was hoping to pick up a new ATV in the post-Rapture looting. Oh well…
Here are the top 5 ATV’s on my list for looting.
2011 Yamaha Raptor 700 SE
Sometimes familiarity is the most comfortable. I love my 07 Yamaha Raptor 700. The only things I want from the new one is the digital dash, the piggyback shocks, lighter wheels and the new black color scheme. I know that all three are doable on my 2007. Maybe its the fact that its an 2011 and not a 2007. Something or another about the newest vanity.
Can-Am Outlander 800R X XC
This thing is a monster. It’s a cross breed between a sport atv and a 4×4 utility style. It runs a V-Twin 800 cc motor. Can-am claims it’s the most powerful engine in the industry. It’s sport 4 valves per cylinder. It has 4 wheel drive with independent rear suspension. This is something I love about my wife’s grizzly.
The Can-Am 800 R X XC just looks awesome. Too bad the price is in the stratosphere at $12499.
I know that technically this isn’t an ATV but this thing is just bad-ass!!! It features a 900cc DOHC Twin EFI engine. The XP 900 has dual A-Arm front suspension with 13.5 inches of travel and 13 inches of ground clearance. It comes standard with Fox Podium X 2.0 shocks. It’s an amazing machine. Arctic Cat 1000LTD
Anytime an ATV company offers a 1000 cc 4 wheeler it must make the must have list.
Secretly inside my 41 year old body is an wanna-be ATV racer. Yamaha bills this as the out of the box legitimate racer. Most ATV rags all say the same thing. It can be tweeked a bit but it’s a contender with little extra investment. I ride the 700 mostly due to reverse.
